We've reached Lancaster!
We made it to the Northern City of Ale, Lancaster has over 30 city centre pubs all selling ale! So, chill out and quaff a beer whilst you have a rest. The famous War of the Roses is said to have started here over a civil claim to the throne, as Lancaster is known for its red rose and York its white rose, the war became known as the war of the roses. Nowadays the tradition is still held with a rugby tournament between Lancaster and York universities called “The Roses”
